OTT Solutions and its group companies started Monetized web platforms about a decade back when the customers downloaded content like ringtones and wallpapers from WAP portals of the Telcos. These platforms were deployed with various customers across the globe to successfully deliver content.
Subsequently, advanced web based video driven platform were developed due to the availability of higher bandwidth and secure transactions over the net. These platforms are simple in nature and developed using software like dotnet or php. However, with time, the platform became complicated with inclusion of analytics, DRM and AI. The global players started providing OTT modules which can be stacked together and were interconnected to different modules.

Most modules would be on SaaS enabling users to access systems on the cloud through connected devices. We may choose any of the established vendors like Setplex, Digivive, Viewlift or any other based on the features provided for different modules. Cloud servers shall store all data on a secure dedicated server, and this will reduce cyber-attacks and hacks. Amazon, IBM Soft layer, Microsoft Azure or other reliable players are powering most popular OTT services.
Basic Modules of an OTT Platform
We shall build a software and cloud based solution with the above simplified architecture. This architecture shall allow us to have all the existing features of world class OTT players.
As a backbone , our OTT platform will mostly have the video content and our technology solutions will make video hosting easily accessible and navigation friendly. This hosting shall be cloud based where the software including content will be hosted on the dedicated cloud servers and the Streaming shall be ‘enabled’, using cloud based players.
As different companies choose different options, we too shall cover each module and ensure a system which would accept inputs from every source and deliver output to all devices and provide necessary analytics and security.

AI based Recommendations Engine : Personalised recommendations on what to watch next in order to keep the viewers engaged based on their preferences and powered by AI based technology using popular software like Hadoop, Google Assistance, Microsoft AI
Analytics Engine: A tool to get 360 degree view of the user behaviours and feedback and then optimise to have maximum payback. This shall again have AI capabilities.
